Why VISTA in Iowa City: Fifteen years earlier, during the Flood of 1993, the Iowa City community came out to help my family, so when the Flood of 2008 hit, it was only natural to help the community that has been there my entire life.
What gets you excited about work as a VISTA: Working for Social Justice as a job is more rewarding than any amount of money.
What are your future plans: I am applying for other AmeriCorps*VISTA positions for another year of service. After that, I would like to go into a Master's of Social Work program or attend a Yeshiva in Israel.
