Next door to a two-story Craftsman-style home, another group of Coe College students scraped peeling paint, then added a fresh coat of blue paint.

Josh Kleinmeyer, a Coe College student from Iowa City, said he enjoyed painting because it's for a good cause.
"We're earning the city a lot of money back for flood recovery," Josh said.
He felt a little unstable on a ladder, but said he handled it.
"I've done some painting in my day, but mostly I'm doing inside of a home not outside," he said.
"It gets hot on top of a ladder, especially way up there with the sun beating down on you."

Neighborhood beautification -- garbage pick up -- was done in the Wellington Heights Neighborhood by Coe College students who managed to match their gloves with trash bags.

This two-story home in Wellington Heights got a fresh coat of white paint, thanks to a group of Coe College students.
