August 9, 2008, Back to School Rally, Veterans Memorial Stadium, Cedar Rapids.
AmeriCorps VISTA members staffed information tables at an August 9, 2008, Back to School Rally for families in flood-affected neighborhoods. Nearly 2,000 students and their parents showed up for the event at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Families collected free school supplies and food, played games and gathered information.
