VISTA Corridor Flood Recovery
September 9, final days
September 9, 2008, East Central Iowa Volunteer Reception Center, Cedar Rapids.
AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) summer associates served seven to 10 weeks with VISTA Corridor Flood Recovery during the summer of 2008.
The first group of VISTA summer associates ended their terms on August 12. From then until September 12, there was a steady steam of summer associates walking out the door for the final time.

Sue Patton, standing center, is the United Way of East Central Iowa employee hired to managed the East Central Iowa Volunteer Reception Center (VRC). Monday through Fridays, Sue holds a quick meeting with VRC staff -- all VISTAs -- to discuss planning and ask them their "highs" and "lows." At this meeting September 9, many VISTAs mention as a "low" that it was Sabrina O'Connell's last day. Also pictured Blake Christens0n, sitting, and Sarah Cook, standing.
